Check it Out! KYPCK – Cherno (2008)

I never thought of it really, but Soviet Russia, as a concept, was meant to be played in doom metal. The unbearable cold days, totalitarian oppression, and vodka….lots of vodka. What could spell doom more than the KGB dragging you out of a brothel by your toes for cursing Lenin in front of an undercover hooker? Well it would seem that some Finnish fellers decided to do what should have been done long ago, and it just so happens that these Finns are well established in the metal community hailing from such reknowned acts as Sentenced, Dreamscape and Solution 13. Cherno is sung entirely in Russian, and Hypck is cyrilic for the the city of Kursk, in Russia, which is most well known for the tank battle, and really tasty vodka and raspberry slushies.
